Amy Morton is an American actress and director, best known for her work in the theatre known for her performances in the films Rookie of the Year, Up in the Air, The Dilemma, and Bluebird. Also, in the NBC drama series Chicago P.D.

Born in Illinois, Oak Park, and attended High School in Oak Park, Oak Park, and the River Forest. She has attended both Triton and Clarke College but has not completed her degree. Since 1997, Morton has spent most of her career working in the Chicago theater scene as a member of Steppenwolf Theater’s core group of actors.
