This season follows 16 successful black women and men in their 40s and 30s as they go through the courtship steps. They search for lasting, true, and authentic love. They are provided with a unique chance to decide who stays in the show and who is eliminated. Elimination is done every week. As of episode 5, four cast members were eliminated.
“Ready to Love” season 7 began with 16 cast members (8 single men and 8 single ladies), but after the first episode, 1 cast member “Dre” (Radio Producer & DJ) was the first cast member to be eliminated by Nephew Tommy – “they were not ready to love”. The reason for Dre being eliminated was that none of the ladies were able to form a connection with him. Rumors have it that Dre was eliminated because of his height – he was short. Natasha (Attorney) was the 1st lady to be eliminated. Also, other cast members; Fabrice (Fashion Designer) and Zee (Digital Producer) were eliminated. The eliminated cast members were replaced by other individuals.
