In 2009, Friedell began his career at ESPN in Chicago. There he covered the Chicago Bulls and in recent years other Midwest teams for almost a decade now. He is a founding member of the ESPNChicago.com team and a regular contributor to ESPN Radio and ESPN 1000 as a talk show host. He then moved to the Bay Area prior to the 2018-2019 NBA season, with a main focus on the Golden State Warriors. Friedell has also contributed to a variety of ESPN platforms including The Jump, The Hoop Collective podcast, SportsCenter, Outside The Lines, Jalen And Jacoby, and Daily Wager.
He is an NBA reporter for the station and has been covering the Golden State Warriors and Chicago Bulls among other assignments. Friedell began his new role as Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks reporter after Kendra Andrews was given the role of reporting the Golden State Warriors. He is an avid sports fan and loves to travel and also enjoys cheeseburger connoisseurs.
