Emily Blunt is a British actress who has won many awards including a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards. Also, she attained nominations for three British Academy Film Awards. In 2006, Blunt had a breakthrough in her career when she appeared in Gideon’s Daughter and The Devil Wears Prada.

Blunt studied at Ibstock Place School in Roehampton before transferring to Hurtwood House, a private sixth-form college famous for its performing arts program. While there, an agent discovered and signed her. Initially, she wanted to study languages at university so that she could be a U.N. translator.

In 2018, Blunt starred in the role of Evelyn Abbott in post-apocalyptic sci-fi horror, A Quiet Place and its sequel, A Quiet Place Part II. Kate is the wife of engineer Lee Abbott and the mother of their four kids, Marcus, Reagan, Beau, and baby Abbott. Lee is played by her husband, John Krasinski who also directed and co-wrote the film. Of their 4 children, Regan, their daughter, is deaf.

The film follows the family as they try to survive in a world colonized by blind extraterrestrial creatures who have a sharp sense of hearing.
