While in Pittsburgh, Lewis won multiple Emmys for his reporting and anchoring. Before Pittsburgh, he worked as an anchor and reporter for the ABC and NBC stations in Sacramento, California for seven years. Familiar with North Carolina, he worked for WXII 12 in Winston-Salem for 2 years.
In Winston-Salem, Lewis broadcasted many stories that impacted the community. Before working in Winston, he worked in Jacksonville, Florida at WJXT for 3 years. He was at the forefront during the 2004 hurricane season and gave regular reports to multiple TV stations countrywide.
Aside from broadcasting hurricanes, Lewis broadcasted stories on the police and education segments. He worked as a reporter for TV stations in Champaign, Illinois, and Tallahassee, Florida before he relocated to Jacksonville.
