Morgan Spector is an American actor who gained recognition for his appearances in the TV series Homeland and The Plot Against America, as well as the films Christine, A Vigilante, and Boston Strangler. Since 2022, he has starred on HBO’s The Gilded Age opposite Cynthia Nixon and Christine Baranski.

Spector joined Reed College in Portland, Oregon, after finishing his high school education. He later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and then enrolled in the acting school of the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. There, he earned his Master of Fine Arts degree. In 2014, he portrayed A Lover in Machinal at the American Airlines Theatre, Broadway, co-starring with Rebecca Hall, who would later become his wife.
Spector starred as Performer in Ironbound at Rattlestick Theater, Off-Broadway, and in Incognito at New York City Center, Off-Broadway. The following year, he acted Off-Broadway as Tom in Animal at Atlantic Stage 2 with Rebecca Hall. That same year, he starred as Maurice Duclos in Fallen Angels at the American Airlines Theatre, Broadway. He co-starred with Rebecca Hall again in Christine and Permission.

Spector serves as a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. He helped with the production of the documentary, The Big Scary ‘S’ Word. In 2024, he publicly read the dossier of South Africa’s genocide case against Israel with 30 other artists before the International Court of Justice. He signed an open pledge with Film Workers for Palestine in September 2025, where he pledged not to work with Israeli film institutions that are connected with the genocide and apartheid against the Palestinian people.
