McAuliffe joined Concord University in Athens, West Virginia, after finishing her studies at Mills E. Godwin High School in Henrico County, Virginia. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism.During her time in college, she worked as a field reporter and anchor for the student-run television station, WMLT. She also finished her internship at WRIC in Richmond, Virginia, before her graduation.

Before stepping into the world of TV news, she worked as a sports reporter for Heat 99, where she began covering local teams and games. After graduating from college, WVNS hired her as a reporter. She later climbed the ranks to solo anchor the morning show on weekdays and produce and solo anchor the noon show. During her time at WVNS, she and the morning news team won “Best Newscast” by the West Virginia Broadcasters Association in 2013.
McAuliffe is passionate about shedding light on stories that make the community shine, from local heroes doing great things to upcoming events that bring people together. She focuses on reports that celebrate people and the positive impact they’re making.
