Kendrick Sampson is an American actor best known for his role as Nathan on Insecure and his appearances on The Vampire Diaries, Gracepoint, The Flash, and How to Get Away with Murder.

In 2008, he appeared in two episodes of the ABC Family series Greek and followed that up with an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2010. Back in the month of July 2013, he booked the recurring role of Jesse in the fifth season of The CW series, The Vampire Diaries. In January 2014, he was cast in the role of Dean Iverson in the Fox miniseries, Gracepoint.

Later on, in early 2015, he shot the pilot for a potential ABC series called The Kingmakers but the series wasn’t picked up. In the same year in July, he booked the recurring role of Caleb Hapstall in season 2 of ABC’s prime-time legal drama, How to Get Away with Murder. He has also started his own production company called Sampson Studios.

Insecure is an American comedy-drama television series that revolves around the awkward experiences of a contemporary African-American woman in their twenties. Sampson plays Nathan Campbel in the series and he gets to date  Issa who he ultimately breaks up with. Nathan breaks up with her because he thought that staying with Issa would be detrimental to his mental health. In the polarizing final scene, it is revealed that Issa and Lawrence get back together and an engagement ring can briefly be seen on Issa’s finger.
