Alexandrea Bozarjian is an American journalist of Dominican and Armenian descent working for KTRK ABC 13 News Houston as a news reporter. She joined the station in August 2023. Previously, she worked in Detroit, Michigan as a nightside reporter.

Bozarjian attended the University of Central Florida after completing her high school education. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Latin American studies. She went to Cuba due to her double major as an associate producer and reporter for a half-hour special concentrating on art, travel, and the environment.

Bozarjian works for KTRK ABC 13 News Houston as a news reporter. She joined the station in August 2023. Previously, she worked in Detroit, Michigan as a nightside reporter. During this time in Michigan, she broadcasted the Oxford High School mass shooting that claimed the lives of four teenagers.

Bozarjian was among the first on the scene during the Michigan State University shooting in February 2023. She attained exclusive video of the gunman on the run after he shot eight people, of which three died. She built strong origins in the Metro Detroit region and obtained a face-to-face chat with a local police chief accused of using only Black men as marks in the unit’s shooting range. Also, she followed the abduction and murders of three young men who vanished after a planned rap performance in Detroit.

Her career started when she worked in Savannah, Georgia as a multi-media journalist, fill-in producer, and fill-in anchor. While in Georgia, she broadcast the controversial 2020 presidential elections, which eventually led to the Peach State turning blue for the first time since 1992. Most of her time was spent broadcasting the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement. Aside from local reporting, she has gone on assignment as part of a company-wide crisis response team. She helped two Florida stations following Hurricane Michael and Hurricane Ian.
