Lanyon launched a recurring segment called “Midstate Mysteries” in 2010. In the segment, she looks into old cases across central Pennsylvania. That series has won him two nominations for a Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Crime Reporting Award. She has a passion for crime and court reporting and has been featured on the Investigation Discovery channel discussing local cases twice.
Lanyon made the “Mommy Minute” on Daybreak, a weekly segment that examines issues significant to local parents, in 2015. Two years later, she made the “What’s Going Around” segment, which briefs parents about the illnesses that affect children across the Midstate. That segment airs on Thursday mornings on Daybreak. In 2023, she began working as an adjunct journalism professor at Elizabethtown College’s School of Public Service.
