Alicia Richards is an American journalist working for WHTM ABC 27 as a co-anchor for the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts. In addition, she does special reporting throughout the year. She joined the station in January 1994 and has worked there for over 2 decades.

Richards has advocated for breast cancer awareness for 10 years. In this capacity, she and her mother, Karen, have attended public service announcements promoting the significance of early detection. Her Buddy Check 27 series earned two Pennsylvania Association of Broadcaster Awards. She won a first-place Associated Press Award for “Lori’s Story,” a 10-part series about a local woman’s committed fight against breast cancer.
Richards was inducted into the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ Silver Circle Society in 2025. She is extremely proud of being involved with the Central Pennsylvania community through frequent speaking engagements.
