Allison Black Biography
Allison Black is an American meteorologist working for WCAX as a meteorologist since joining the station in March 2025. Previously, she did weekend weather at Western Mass News in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Black joined Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Connecticut, in 2021 after finishing her high school education.In May 2024, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology and a minor in Mathematics.

Black works for WCAX as a meteorologist. A flash of lightning started her love for the weather. While vacationing with her mother at the beach, she was woken up by a thunderstorm in the middle of the night. She sat with her mother on the beach, watching the lightning strike out on the ocean. Also, she had the opportunity to capture “the perfect strike” on her mother’s camera. Years have passed, and she still has that picture framed in her room. Whenever she hears thunder rumble, she grabs her phone to take pictures of the lightning. Aside from the weather, she loves the sky because she has been fascinated her since she was young,
After graduating from college, she started her career working weekends at Western Mass News in Springfield, Massachusetts. Now, she looks forward to being a member of the WCAX First Alert Weather Team! She is excited with the rest of the team all while enjoying the beauty in this region, especially spending time watching the sunsets over the lake all year round.
