Andrea D. Lyon is an American Criminal Defense Attorney, author, death penalty expert, former professor, and law school dean working at Lyon Law since February 2019. Her books include; Angel of Death Row: My Life as a Death Penalty Defense Lawyer, Team Defense in Criminal Cases, the Death Penalty: What’s Keeping It Alive, The Feminine Sixth: Women for the Defense, and “The Blame Game: Public Anti[ipathy to Mental Health Evidence in Criminal Trials”.

Johnson Dream-Makers Award, 2015, and The American Constitution Society’s Abner Mikva Legal Legends Award 2017.
