Andrea Jackson is an American 4x Emmy-nominated anchor and reporter working at Fox 35 where she serves as a weekend anchor for Good Day Orlando and a reporter for FOX 35. She has been working for the station since January 2014.

Jackson got her high school diploma from Fruita Monument High School then she later attended St. Edmund Preparatory where she studied broadcast journalism. She later furthered her studies and graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Political science. Jackson began her journalism career while she was getting her undergraduate at San Diego State University where she was the weekday morning weather anchor for KGTV from 1996 to 1999. She also served as and traffic anchor covered the entertainment beat and hosted the station’s Oscar red carpet coverage live from the Academy Awards.

Jackson received an Emmy nomination for breaking news coverage about the La Mesa bus hijacking story from the station’s helicopter Sky 10. Andrea later got a job opportunity working as a traffic and weather anchor for KNBC  Los Angeles. She then launched the national morning show ‘The Daily Buzz’ as host and managing editor in 2002.

In January 2011, she got a job offer as a morning reporter and weekend anchor for the NBC affiliate WESH in Orlando, FL while there she covered the Casey Anthony trial. In 2012 he launched another show the lifestyle show ‘Life Love Shopping’ on WEtv & Oxygen. At the time she was still continuing her role as host of the national morning news program, ‘The Daily Buzz,’ but she wrapped up both shows in October 2013.

Jackson also acquired her skills and knowledge from NBC’s hidden camera show ‘Spy TV’ also co-starring roles in the NBC soap Passions,’ CBS’s ‘JAG,’ USA’s ‘Pensacola,’ and ‘Arrest & Trial.’ Television aside she created the smartphone app ‘WakeUpCall.TV’ for iPhone and Android, not only that but she also created ‘Stable8 TV,’ an internet television channel, devoted to equestrian programming.
