Anne Campolongo Biography

Anne Campolongo is an American meteorologist working for the KCCI Storm team 8 since joining the team on September 20, 2021. Previously she worked for FOX 12 team where she anchors the 8 and 9 O’clock newscasts.

Anne Campolongo Education

Campolongo attended Ohio University where she graduated with a degree in journalism and meteorology in April 2016. While in college, she interned at several stations and also worked at the local PBS station in Athens, OH.

Campolongo is a meteorologist at KCCI. Prior to joining the station, she worked for FOX 12 in Portland, OR where she forecasted for the last three years. Before that, Campolongo worked in Southern Oregon in the town of Medford. Campolongo is from Cincinnati, Ohio where she has lived almost her entire life. Her Italian heritage has been an important part of her life, ranging from venturing to Italy to meet some of her relatives to her family’s delicious home-cooked Italian meals.

With the beautiful PNW landscape, hiking is one of her favorite activities. Ever since she moved out West, she loves to explore with newfound friends, to find new hikes and visitors from back home. She also loves writing letters and adores snail mail as a pastime. She as well loves the novelty of a handwritten note – which never goes out of style!

Having a new city to call home, Campolongo is becoming more of an Iowan as she explores its nooks and crannies together with her adopted dog Flynn. She loves and enjoys having coffee and local food as well as volunteering with the community. Anne shows her passion when she encourages young girls to enter STEM fields. She is grateful for her great new co-workers and welcoming viewers as she is settling into life in the 503.
