He began as a digital weather producer and meteorologist at the station. Prior to joining WJAR-TV NBC 10, Anthony worked for AccuWeather, designing graphics and working behind the scenes for their national cable weather programs. Moreover, he began his broadcasting career at WAGM in Presque Isle, Maine where he served as a morning meteorologist.
While in “The County,” Anthony stayed busy forecasting countless snowstorms while also reporting on recreation and agriculture in the area. In addition to that, he is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. These memberships stem from Anthony’s time as president of the local chapter in Lyndon.
Where he led members throughout the year and chaired the Northeastern Storm Conference. Furthermore, Anthony attended Mount Saint Charles Academy and graduated in 2012 with a diploma. Later on, he enrolled at Lyndon State College where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Atmospheric Sciences and meteorology in 2016. In his leisure time, Macari loves watching Boston sports, eating some of the best Italian food Rhode Island has to offer, and riding motorcycles or snowmobiles.
