Anusha Roy is an American Anchor/Reporter working for 9NEWS in Denver, Colorado since joining the news team in December 2016. Prior to joining 9NEWS, she was serving in Washington, Idaho, and Texas.

Roy is an Anchor/Reporter at 9NEWS. She began her journalism profession in the shadow of the Hanford Nuclear scene including fears of nuclear debris reaching Washington following a massive tsunami that hit Japan and the Tri-Cities. Anusha later traveled north to labor as a reporter in Spokane, Wash, and Idaho. She got herself digging into an environmental controversy that pitted supporters of endangered wildlife against communities that depend on logging to survive.

Roy later went back to Seattle, to work as a writer, in her hometown, and associate producer for KIRO-TV prior to moving to Texas. Anusha worked tirelessly to report in Waco after a biker shoots out resulted in 177 arrests, and nine deaths and also anchored the Saturday morning news, and raise awareness about sex trafficking

Roy additionally earned the Excellence in Media Award from the Texas Veterans Commission. She first loved the news when she interned with a Television network in India. Anusha as well worked hard toward her journalism degree at the University of Washington and co-produced and filmed a documentary on arranged marriages that became screened at the Independent South Asian Film Festival in Seattle. Additionally, Anusha narrated the award-winning documentary Threads. The story is about a Bangladeshi artist who educated a type of quilting that turned into a livelihood for hundreds of destitute women.
