Arielle Brumfield Biography

Arielle Brumfield is an American multimedia journalist working for NewsChannel 21 in Central Oregon. She has been working for the station since joining the team in March 2019.

Arielle Brumfield Education

Brumfield attended and graduated from Loyola Marymount University in the spring of 2018. She double majored in both political science and African American studies, with a minor in journalism.

Arielle Brumfield Career

Brumfield works for NewsChannel as Sunrise Co-Anchor since October 2020. Her passion for journalism began with her interests in print and digital media, later transitioning to broadcast journalism while at LMU. While still in the University, she served as on-air talent and hosted a weekly segment for the LMU radio station, KXLU 88.9FM.

She then interned for the Argonaut Newspaper, a local publication for the Westside of Los Angeles that has a weekly circulation of 30,000. During her last semester at LMU, she interned with Fox News as a College Associate at the Los Angeles bureau.

She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and looks forward to being a part of the community and reporting the news on News Channel 21. Brumfield grew up playing volleyball and running track, so she considers herself an active person and would love to continue that in beautiful Bend. When she is not at work she enjoys going to the gym, doing yoga, and her “guilty pleasure” of online shopping.
