Asley Dougherty is an American meteorologist working for WTAE. She joined the station back in 2012 and forecasts Pittsburgh weather each weekday morning and noon on Pittsburgh’s Action News 4.

Dougherty attended Mohawk High School where she graduated and soon after joined Mississippi State University where she attained her broadcast meteorology degree.

Dougherty is a meteorologist who is a Wampum, Lawrence County native and has worked for other stations prior to joining WTAE. Her career began when in 2008 working for WTRF in Wheeling, West Virginia where she served as an editor and weekend meteorologist. She then moved to KDKA-TV as a freelance meteorologist after nearly two years with the Virginia-based television station. She worked for two years with the Pittsburgh-based TV station prior to joining WTAE-TV Channel 4 Action News. Additionally, she holds the Seal of Approval and is also a member of the National Weather Association.
Dougherty also stands up for animals who are being abused and neglected. She is also very much involved with animal shelters to help dogs and cats find their forever homes. Whenever she is not at work, she enjoys spending some time with her husband and son. She also finds pleasure in staying with their dog Bubba and is also very much active on her social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
