Ashley Paredez Biography

Ashley Paredez is an American reporter who is working at ABC15 News. She joined the station in December 2020 as a late news reporter. Previously she worked at FOX 4 News as a Good Day reporter.

In 2004, she joined the University of Texas at San Antonio and while she was there, she coordinated admissions program students through UT Austin. In 2015, she joined The University of Texas at Austin where she graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism in 2008. In addition, she also studied at Our Lady of Lake University where she studied communication science and disorders.

Before coming to Phoenix, she worked on FOX 4 News as a Good Day reporter. In the six-hour newscast, she gave hourly coverage reporting everything from crime and court cases, and stories with local impact to breaking news. Her most recognized job was the reports on a string of tornadoes that left a way of destruction across North Texas and also showcasing the damage nationally on FOX & Friends.

For five years Paredez was at FOX 7 Austin as the weekend evening anchor and night-side reporter. During her time there, she reported a series of investigations into mysterious homicides in Del Valle. She was sent to Houston to report the devastation of Tropical Storm Harvey, contributing work and live reports to dozens of FOX stations across the country. She did similar national reports on the church shooting in Sutherland Springs and package bombs in Austin. While there, she received several appreciations and awards from the Associated Press.

Firstly her job started behind the scenes as a producer in Amarillo. After a short period of time, she was promoted to reporter and weekend anchor. During her final year in college, Paredez assisted in rebranding the morning show as an executive producer, weekday anchor, and reporter. In the course of her time there, she interviewed former President George W. Bush during the Wounded Warrior 100K bike ride. She as well helped out to raise thousands of donations for the tornado victims in Shawnee and Moore, Oklahoma. Ashley is loving the Valley and hopes to continue making a difference in the lives of the people she serves.
