His parents migrated to the U.S. when he was 15 years old. He became a U.S. citizen in 2012. He studied at Lincoln High School and furthered his studies at the Community College of Philadelphia and Temple University after high school. They met via a mutual friend at a house party in the summer of 2012.
At the time, Jean was studying at Temple University while she was home on summer break from college. He proposed to her on her 25th birthday after surprising her with helicopter a ride facing the city and drove her to her parent’s place for a surprise cookout.
Wedding
Lachelle and her husband, Jean wed on May 31, 2020, at Germantown’s New Hope Temple Baptist Church. They postponed their wedding as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and instead a small ceremony. In attendance were her and Jean’s parents, grandparents, and siblings along with her best friend, Dana Lee.
Dana also served as their videographer and photographer. She adorned a white one-shoulder tuxedo-influenced mini dress. However, she worked on her dream dress along with Prajje Oscar, a Philly-based and Haitian-born designer, since 2018. Further, they had a post-COVID wedding/reception.
