Avan Jogia is a Canadian actor who gained fame for portraying Beck Oliver in Nickelodeon’s Victorious and Danny Araujo in A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story. Jogia rose to mainstream success for his roles in Twisted, Tut, Ghost Wars, and Now Apocalypse.

He debuted as a director in 2011 when he directed the short film, Alex. In 2021, he played the role of Leon S. Kennedy in the film, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.

In 2011, Jogia served as a co-founder of the online organization, Straight But Not Narrow. In 2019, he published Mixed Feelings, his first book which has a series of short stories and poems about multiracial identity. Also, he hand-painted the drawings in the book. In collaboration with his father, they founded the band, Saint Ivory. The band released an album, also named Mixed Feelings, that goes with the book. Aside from singing, he plays guitar, piano, and accordion.

He tries to revive old friendships and faces the difficulties of dealing with his judgmental peers. After a female classmate is found dead, he becomes the prime suspect in the murder. During the ordeal, he realizes that no one in town cares about the truth and only wants him convicted of the crime. He is determined to clear his name and maintain a secret about who really killed his aunt.

For his role, he received a nomination for the Teen Choice Summer TV Star: Male Award in 2013, and Teen Choice Actor: Drama Award in 2014.
