He served the station for two years and two months from November 2020 to December 2022. Earlier, Ben served as an anchor, reporter, and director at Northwestern News Network in Evanston. While there, he was in charge of various role duties such as editing, filming, producing, and gathering news.
Before working in Evanston, Bokun spent four months working in Rhinelander, Wisconsin as a reporter and multimedia Journalist at WJFW Newswatch 12. He also covered major breaking news mainly forcusing on sports, politics, and community events. Bokun started his television career at Turner in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as a digital content creator and staff writer. As a writer, he wrote articles about NCAA college athletics, and website stories, and reported various news.
Ben previously was a writer at The Miami Hurricane Newspaper where he worked for nine months. After that, he joined UMTV as a sports reporter from August 2016 to May 2017. He also conducted various interviews with prominent athletes like Alex Rodriguez. In addition to working at UMTV, Bokun also worked for WVUM 90.5 FM’s “The Voice” where he served as a radio broadcaster. Later on, in June 2018, he was hired as a writer and digital content intern at NBC Sports Chicago.
Afterward, he moved to Evanston, where he served as a sports radio broadcaster at WNUR 89.3 FM from January 2018 to May 2019. Besides this, Ben also worked at the Chicago Bulls as a media relations intern. Aside from working as a journalist, he served as a blogger at FanSided in Chicago, Illinois.
