Ben Napier is an American TV Personality who is best known for starring in the series “Home Town,” which premiered in January 2016 on HGTV. He is elated to be part of the reality TV series.

Napier is also a woodworker, entrepreneur, and author. He is also the founder of Scotsman Co. and co-owns Laurel Mercantile Co. Additionally, Ben is a former president of Laurel’s Main Street America chapter committed to promoting the rebirth of their historic downtown district.

Napier and his wife embrace a love for renovating and preserving historic homes. They own Lucky Luxe (an international stationery company) and are founding co-owners of Laurel Mercantile Co.  When coming to his education, Napier is a proud graduate of the University of Mississippi where he obtained a degree in history.

HGTV’s spin-off titled “Home Town Takeover” premiered on May 2, 2021, and was hosted by Napier and her husband Ben. Also, a spin-off titled “Home Town: Ben’s Workshop” premiered on Discovery+ on January 4, 2021. The HGTV hit has also inspired other spinoffs like “Home Town Kickstart.”

The Home Town Takeover spin-off featured Ben and his wife working with another community to renovate considerable homes and public spaces within a single town. On July 2, 2020, HGTV announced that Wetumpka, Alabama, will be the town featured in this spin-off and it will be filmed in Fort Morgan, Colorado in the year 2021.

Ben Napier Illness / Health

Napier has never been diagnosed with any illness. However, her wife has been diagnosed with a perforated appendix. On January 20, 2022, his wife posted some photos of rare snapshots of when she was in the hospital in the year 2014, on her official Instagram Page. In the photos, Erin was beside Ben and they were on the hospital bed. She revealed her diagnosis of a perforated appendix through her caption. She stated that she is still experiencing troubling symptoms. Their story is demonstrated in a book she and her husband wrote, “Make Something Good Today: A Memoir.”

She stated that she has been learning through conversation with her dear friend, a therapist, since her diagnosis. She also stated that it left some deep ruts in her neuro pathways that have left her with extreme preoccupation and fear of sickness – specifically nausea. Erin also talked about mental health and stated that she has been struggling with it for about 10 years after her years-long battle with a mystery illness.
