Ben Schwartz Biography
Ben Schwartz is an American journalist working for WVVA as an evening anchor since July 2023. He joined the station in December 2021 as a multimedia journalist. Previously, he served WCPO 9 News in Cincinnati, Ohio as the Ohio Statehouse News Bureau Fellow and freelance reporter.

Schwartz joined Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication in 2015 when he finished his high school studies at Glenbrook South High School. In 2019, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism.
While in college, he worked for WOUB for four years as a reporter, anchor, and producer. Also, he held a media internship at the Athens Government Channel. As a high schooler, he worked as a DJ and traffic manager for Glenbrook South’s radio station.

As a statehouse reporter, he broadcasted legislative matters and stories relating to Cincinnati. He also wrote Ben Asks a Question, a daily web piece where he covered Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s day-to-day COVID-19 press briefings.
