Berkeley Taylor Biography

Berkeley Taylor is an American meteorologist working for KDFW FOX 4 as a midday and weekend morning meteorologist since joining the station in January 2026. Previously, she worked at KBTX in Bryan-College Station for over 2 years.

Berkeley Taylor Education

Taylor joined Texas A&M University after finishing high school. In the spring of 2023, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology. While in college, she discovered her passion for the weather, launching weather balloons, storm-chasing, and studying tropical meteorology in Barbados!

During her senior year, Taylor secured a fill-in weather anchor position at KTEN in Sherman, Texas. Her time there helped her realize that she might want to try her hand at the whole TV thing.

Taylor works for KDFW FOX 4 as a midday and weekend morning meteorologist. The Texas native is thrilled to return to North Texas and do what she loves. She looks forward to delivering the FOX 4 Warn Forecast for many years to come.

There was no shortage of active weather while growing up in North Texas, from the December tornado outbreak in 2015 to the 2010 February snowstorm. She was afraid of severe weather while growing up; that fear turned into curiosity.

Taylor’s father was and is always tracking active weather. He would occasionally let her and her brother miss school to chase down snow. She credits a lot of her love for weather to him. She realized that she wanted to pursue meteorology in junior high school when she took an environmental science class.

Taylor began her professional career at KBTX in Bryan-College Station after graduating from college. She began her stint as a weekend meteorologist and was promoted to a midday position in April 2024. There, she experienced a little bit of everything, including Hurricane Beryl, the record-setting heat of 2023, several tornado outbreaks, and the Christmas Eve hailstorm of 2024.
