Miller serves as a news reporter at States Newsroom’s “Daily Montanan”. Before joining Daily Montanan, he worked as a digital executive producer at Denver7/KMGH-TV. In this role, he primarily writes about politics, climate, police, breaking news, and crime. He went to the University of Missouri School of Journalism where he attained his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism in 2009. He previously worked in Albuquerque where he served as a digital journalist from 2014 to 2016. While still working in Albuquerque, he enclosed killer cops and cop-killers, the U.S. Department of Justice, the Gold King Mine spill, secret federal surveillance programs, and a scourge of poverty, homelessness, and alcoholism in western New Mexico.

Prior to his tenure in Albuquerque, he worked in Columbia, Missouri where he served as a multimedia journalist and digital journalist. While here, he enclosed the state Capitol and the secret-money campaign which involved Sen. Roy Blunt. He also spent several years working at CBS New’s international bureau in London where he enclosed the Capitol. He also worked at Fox Sports Southwest, the NPR affiliate of mid-Missouri, and Ford Motor Company.

Miller also played in a rock and roll band and toured several parts of the country while also producing and engineering quite a number of records and managing a bakery. Whenever he is not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends. He also enjoys fly fishing, hiking in the Rockies, traveling, and listening to music.
