Ambrose’s career started in February 2018 at WDBJ7’s sister station, WALB News10, in Albany, Georgia. While in Albany, he broadcast multiple tropical systems, including the ruinous Category Five Hurricane Michael. In addition, he was on-air for numerous harsh weather occasions, including many tornadoes.
In July 2020, Ambrose relocated to the coast, where he served the Fox affiliate in Savannah, Georgia. Two weeks after joining the station, he broadcast Hurricane Isaias, which passed about 65 miles off the coast. In April 2022, he was on air for over 120 minutes as an EF-4 tornado tore through a community about 30 minutes west of Savannah. This was one of the strongest tornadoes to impact the U.S. that year.
