Brendan Burke is an American Sportscaster working for NBC News in New York City as the Play-by-Play Broadcaster for NHL and PLL. He joined the station in April 2017 while he was still working for FOX Sports.

Burke relocated to New Jersey in 1990 to join Paramus Catholic High School. Back at Ithaca College graduation on August 5th, 2012, Burke was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Before, he was a sports director for KUCR and KDAM Campus Radio Stations where he created tricks encouragement, and even passion for the self and sports. His voice was distinctive as he started his journey towards a great voice career in the world that was ahead of him.
The color became a part of minor league baseball as Burke joined the team right after college. He broadcasted for the Batavia Muckdogs (NYPL) as well as for the Lakewood BlueClaws (SAL) and submerged into the rhythm of baseball games. He also joined the Wheeling Nailers at the age of 22 and translated to the title of being the youngest broadcaster in the ECHL. The title of being awarded the ECHL Broadcaster of the Year in 2008 gave evidence that he had deep potential in broadcasting.
In five seasons as the voice of the Peoria Rivermen analyzing AHL action, Burke built a reputation. When the Rivermen signed with the Utica Comets under the potential of the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks, Burke kept on creating wonders. In the year 2011-12 and continuing in the following seasons, he took over the play-by-play as a St. Louis Blues Broadcaster for the KMOX radio.
In January, Burke used his voice during Hockey Day Minnesota, performing the play-by-play for outdoor high school hockey games for Fox Sports North on Pam Lake in Baudette, Minn. He also returned to play-by-play and would do college football highlights on Fox Sports Net; partnering with Ben Leber. Moreover, he provided commentary for college hockey games and broadcasted on the Big Ten Network.

In 2014, Burke’s star continued to rise when he was named one of the Top 30 Sportscasters by the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America. For this, his professional commitment and passion led him to receive the most honored award: the James H. Ellery Memorial Award for the best media coverage of the American Hockey League in the 2014-2015 season.
