Brian Farrell is an American journalist working for DC News Now as a digital executive producer where he works with a team of content producers contributing to the storytelling and information sharing on DC News Now’s digital platforms i.e. social media and on TV. After graduating college, he worked for WCAU as a production assistant. Next, he left the station and worked for Medstar Television in Allentown as a writer and producer. He then worked in Augusta, Georgia, for WJBF as an “Aiken Newscenter Chief.”
In his role as “Aiken Newscenter Chief,” he shot, wrote, edited, reported, and vacuumed the station’s bureau in Aiken. Ultimately, he started anchoring the weekend evening newscasts for the station. He did a series about corruption in Denmark, South Carolina. For his piece, he received recognition and various awards including a regional Edward R. Murrow.
After tenuring at WJBF, he moved to Virginia where he served WTKR and 13News Now as an anchor and reporter. During his time in Virginia, he shared stories of many people which he really appreciated.
