Brian Sanders is an American Morning anchor at Denver 7 in Colorado. A Houston native, Brian attended and graduated from Texas A&M University.
Brian Sanders Career
Sanders joined Denver 7 after four years at the E.W. Scripps Company’s station in Tulsa where he was part of an award-winning team as the evening anchor. There, Sanders anchored their 5, 6, and 10 pm newscasts and was a prominent member of their Problem Solvers team. He also covered high-profile events like Hurricane Harvey, the Oklahoma City Bombing Anniversary, and the Dallas police ambush.
Prior to moving to Tulsa, he served as the morning anchor for Austin’s top-rated newscast at KXAN. He started his career there as a sports anchor/reporter, and in 2012 he switched to the news desk.
While at KXAN, Sanders covered extensively the building of the Circuit of the Americas and the return of Formula One to the United States. Additionally, he traveled to New York to cover the Heisman Trophy ceremony twice with former Texas Longhorns Quarterback Colt McCoy.
When he is not working, Sanders loves exploring the city attractions or the many parks and trails and spending time with his family. He also likes to look at the Colorado mountains with the same wide eyes as his 4- and 2-year old boys.
