Brittney Shipp is an American meteorologist working for NBC10 Philadelphia as a meteorologist for NBC10’s First Alert Weather Team. Her forecasts appear on weekday evenings. She joined the station in January 2018. Previously, she worked for KRON in San Francisco as an on-air meteorologist for 2 years.

Before rejoining NBC10, her career began when she served KYMA in Yuma as a morning weekday weather reporter and features reporter. Next, she served KTVK-3TV in Phoenix as a weekend meteorologist and special assignment reporter. Further, she has worked as a fill-in weather anchor for four national morning shows; NBC’s Early Today, and MSNBC’s Morning Joe, First Look, and Way Too Early.

Shipp has a passion for educational school visits, bridging the gender gap in STEM careers, and diversity in children’s literature. She dedicates herself to encouraging young girls and students to understand science and weather-related careers through school visits, mentoring, and volunteering
