Bryan Hale Biography
Bryan Hale is an American meteorologist working for KVEO CBS 4 News as the chief meteorologist. He joined the station in 1999 and has served the station for more than 2 decades. Previously, he worked in Kansas City so that he could obtain experience in large-market TV.
Bryan Hale Education
Hale joined Southern Illinois University after completing his high school education in the early 80’s. He later graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. During his time there, he studied alongside the BBC in Britain and worked for a big cable news network in Washington D.C. as an intern. KFSM paid for his university meteorological program. He interned at Arkansas’s Second Congressional District where he pursued acute weather in the state.

After graduating college, Hale relocated to Arkansas where he secured his first job. He got into TV when he worked for KFSM in Fort Smith, Arkansas where he caught the “weather bug.” While there he worked as a weekend weather personality before he started filling in. Even though he did not know much about the weather, he had a love for geography thus he knew every county, city, and hick town between Oklahoma City and Memphis.
Hale then worked at WLEX in Lexington, Kentucky, as a morning meteorologist alongside his wife who worked as his employer. Next, he worked in Kansas City so that he could obtain experience in large-market TV. While there, he learned more about the weather and television. Nevertheless, he realized that he wanted to return to where he could freely express himself and accepted the chance to work at KVEO CBS 4(then known as KGBT CBS 4) as a chief meteorologist.
Hale has the new American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal of Approval after studying for 6 months. During his career, he has covered multiple extreme weather events such as Hurricane Hanna, Hurricane Dolly in ’08, the Christmas Eve snow of ’04, and the February freeze. Among his proudest accomplishments was persuading Freddy Vela to rejoin the station as the chief meteorologist on NBC 23.

Our boy was called home to God’s kingdom this weekend…May God care for his soul for all eternity. We thank Him for blessing of the 25 years we had with him.”
Camryn was born on October 7, 2002, and is 21 years old as of 2023. On October 7, 2023, he posted a picture of her on his Instagram account and wished her a happy 21st birthday.
