Caitlin Irla is an American Anchor and Reporter working for WNYT News as a weekend morning anchor, producer, and reporter. Before joining WNYT News, she worked for WKTV News Channel 2 as a multimedia journalist.

Irla attended Hudson Valley Community College in 2013 where she received an Associate’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2015. While still at Hudson College, she also enrolled at the New School of Radio and Television where she attained a degree in Broadcast Journalism. In 2016, she joined Saint Rose College where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications in 2017.

Irla serves as a weekend morning anchor, producer, and reporter at WNYT NewsChannel 13 in Albany, New York. She joined the station in January 2021 working as a weekend and night producer. Later on, Caitlin landed a role as a morning producer, where she created shows like Today and Early Today show. After that, she was promoted to morning anchor and reporter where she delivered heart beating news.
Caitlin previously worked for WKTV News Channel 2 in Utica, New York where she served as a multimedia journalist. While there, she also filled in as an anchor and covered major breaking news. Irla spent two years and three months working for the station from November 2018 to January 2021. Before working for WKTV News, she interned at WTEN-TV in Albany, New York from September 2017 to December 2017.
She started her broadcasting journey at Time Warner Cable News working as an intern from June 2015 to August 2015. Her passion for journalism emerged as a little girl and she is happy she got the opportunity to fulfill her dream. Growing up, Irla dreamt of working at News Channel 13 and was inspired by Katie Couric. Apart from working as a journalist, Caitlin served as a bank teller at Pioneer Bank from October 2016 to November 2018.
