Caitlin Knute is an American journalist working for KSHB as the 4 and 5 p.m. anchor and investigative reporter since joining the station in June 2020. Previously, she worked as an evening anchor for WEEK in Peoria, Illinois, for 4 years.

Knute joined Monmouth College in 1997 after finishing her high school education. In 2001, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a minor in Political Science. During her time in college, she played college softball. She was also a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, an English tutor, and a radio host.

Knute loves giving back to her community when she’s not working in the newsroom. Over the years, she has held several roles, including working as a mentor with The Queen’s Foundation, coaching high school softball, and volunteering with Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
