Cameron Cox is an American Emmy award-winning anchor/reporter/contributor working for 12News as a reporter and sports anchor. Prior to joining the network, he was tenured in San Antonio, Texas, at WOAI-TV. There he was tenured for two years serving as an anchor and a sports reporter.

Cox is an American Emmy award-winning reporter and sports anchor working for 12News. For the network, he also tenures as the network’s Tonight sports newscasts and Friday Night Fever. Having joined the network in November of 2014, he also serves at the Cardinals Locker Room as a contributor. Prior to joining the network, he was tenured in San Antonio, Texas, at WOAI-TV. There he was tenured for two years serving as an anchor and a sports reporter.
During his tenure there he featured the Spurs’ championship parade, NFL playoffs, two NBA Finals, MLB and the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, the NBA All-Star game, the Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony, Texans and Cowboys games, College Football (Longhorns, Aggies, UTSA), and the High School sports. He began his broadcasting career in Monroe, Louisiana, at KNOE-TV as the weekend sports anchor covering Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana Tech, Grambling, the Saints, and LSU.
Additionally, he also studied in Portales, New Mexico, at Eastern New Mexico University where he was a student-athlete (football). In the aim of his journalism skills, he quickly learned how to use his own on-the-field experiences. While majoring in Broadcast Journalism, he also tenured at KSEL and KENW where he worked full-time as a play-by-play broadcaster and their lead sports anchor.
He also hosted the first sports talk radio show Portales’ “Game On!”, and was the voice of the Portales Rams. Being a Houston, Texas, native, he studied in Humble and later graduated from Atascocita High School. During his leisure time, he enjoys collecting movies, working out, trying to improve his golf game, watching sports (shocking), reading history books, doing anything outdoors, and spending time with his family.
