Carl Mueller Biography

Carl Mueller is the father of Kayla Mueller who was an American human rights activist and humanitarian aid worker from Prescott, Arizona, US. She was killed by ISIS in Syria. Carl Mueller is one of the speakers at the 2020 Republican National Convention where she will be speaking on the fourth day.

In August 2013, his daughter Kayla Mueller was taken captive in Aleppo, Syria, after leaving a Doctors Without Borders hospital. Media had long reported that a 26-year-old American aid worker was being held by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) without revealing her name, at her family’s request. In 2015, Kayla was killed in uncertain circumstances.
