Chris Parente Biography

Chris Parente is an American journalist working for FOX 31 Denver as a reporter, anchor, and entertainment host. He joined the station in January 2006 and has served the station for over 19 years.

Parente joined Indiana University in August 1989 after finishing his high school education. In May 1993, he graduated with degrees in both Journalism and Political Science. He studied Theatre at Indiana University and got his Improvisation training at Chicago’s famed “Second City.”

One of Parente’s highlights was hosting 60 minutes of national TV, where he filled in for Regis Philbin on “Live with Regis & Kelly.” After his hosting, he was called back for a second time as a feature reporter for their “Ambush Makeovers.” He has held interviews with many celebrities, actors and politicians. Also, his work has appeared on national platforms like CNN, FOX, and MSNBC.

Even though Parente has adopted Colorado as his second home, he’s still a “Hoosier” at heart. Besides his work on TV, he has performed with Improv Troupes at many festivals and shows. Currently, he performs in Denver with the troupe he helped found, the “Queerbots.”
