Ciara Speller Biography
Ciara Speller is an American journalist working for WWLP as a weeknight evening anchor since joining the station in July 2017. Previously, she worked for WHDH Channel 7 in Boston as a special projects intern.

Speller joined Salve Regina University in 2011 when she finished her high school education. In 2015, she graduated with a Bachelor Of Arts degree in English Communications and a Dance minor. While there, she was involved with the SRU Mosaic, SRU Dance, and the Extensions Dance Company.
Speller served WMUR TV ABC 9 in Manchester, New Hampshire as an associate producer news intern for 5 months. In this role, she wrote news scripts and edited and dubbed tape clips. Next, she served ABC 6 in Providence, Rhode Island as a news intern for 4 months.
Speller served SALVEtoday as a senior news correspondent for more than 3 years. There, she wrote anchor scripts and edited the finished content. She also reported and wrote for SCATV. Also, she edited and produced multimedia content for SCATV’s weekly telecast and website.
In 2015, she joined Emerson College in Boston for her Master’s degree. She graduated with a Master Of Arts in Broadcast Journalism in 2017. There, she was involved with Emerson Today, NABJ, and BABJ. While pursuing her Master’s, she served the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) as a newsroom intern. She also served WEBN Boston as a reporter, writer, and anchor. She was a special projects intern for WHDH Channel 7.
