Cole McBee Education/Career
McBee joined North Central Missouri College in 2018 after finishing his school education. In 2020, he graduated with an Associate’s degree in Natural Resources Science. While in college, he worked as a crop scout intern at Indigo in 2018. In this role, he scouted corn, soybeans, and wheat all over Missouri and the eastern part of Kansas.
McBee currently works as a farmer at McBee Farms & Cattle Company. There, he works in the field and has taken independent actions such as signing a secret farm lease without informing his eldest brother, Steven Jr. This decision led to significant family tension, nearly causing a physical confrontation

Steven allegedly gave fraudulent documents that underreported his corn crop and soybean crop totals in 2018. As a result, he obtained over a combined $3 million in federal crop insurance subsidies and federal crop insurance premium subsidies.
Steven now faces up to 30 years in federal prison without parole and owes the government more than $3 million. His sentencing will be held in September 2025.
