Cole Miller Biography

Cole Miller is an American Anchor working with KOLN 10/11 Now news where he serves the station as an Evening Anchor for the 5, 6, and 10 PM News. She joined the station in the month of August 2022. 

Cole Miller Career

Miller works with the 10/11 Now News team where he serves the station as an Evening Anchor. He is happy to be able to return home and share the stories impacting Lincoln and Nebraska at the station he grew up watching and interning at.

He is a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he obtained a degree in Broadcast Journalism. This was while working at the ABC station in Lincoln. Asides from this, he also won numerous AP awards for his spot news and agricultural stories. Later on, he spent two years reporting at KRQE in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he was covering the state’s legislature, wildfires, and protests against police use of force. The Land of Enchantment holds a special place in his heart from the culture and cuisine to the dramatic landscapes.

Throughout his career, he has been able to go further west to Portland, Oregon where he spent more than four years reporting and anchoring at KOIN. During his time there, he was covering the 2016 militia-led standoff in Burns at the Malheur National Wildfire Refuge, the Oregon Ducks run, the Final Four in Phoenix, trips to British Columbia and Idaho to report on extremist and hate groups, and the Standing Rock Pipeline protest in North Dakota. Miller also works as a lead nightside reporter, the 11 OM newscast won “Best Newscast” three years in a row.

He has also reported for KOMO News in Seattle, Washington. Millerextensively covered the country’s first COVID-19 outbreak from the frontlines, the racial justice protests which rocked the city in 2020. He also worked alongside Portland affiliates at the deadly Riverside Fire that scorched more than 138,100 acres in Central Oregon.

Asides from this, his work on illegal street takeovers was nominated for an Emmy in the year 2022. While in Lincoln, he was surrounded by family and friends. Away from work, he enjoys meeting new people, exploring all that’s changed in town, riding his bike, and taking still photographs.
