For his excellent work, Shone was honored with three Emmy Awards for his coverage of the Navajo Nation’s fight against COVID-19.

Earlier, Colton served as an anchor and reporter at KOLD News 13 in Tucson, Arizona. He was also in charge of managing national news feeds, pitching, and editing videos. He worked for the station from October 2013 to October 2015 where he delivered news. Prior to joining KOLD News, Shone served as a reporter at KPHO, the CBS 5 affiliate in Phoenix. During his time there, he led the general assignment reporter and established trust sources.
