Colton Williams is an American meteorologist working for KAKE as a weekday meteorologist since joining the station in June 2025. Previously, he worked for KTUL NewsChannel 8 as a meteorologist for 2 years.

Williams joined the University of Oklahoma in 2019 after finishing his high school education. In 2023, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Meteorology. While at OU, he won 2 college Emmy awards as a leader of the nationally recognized college news program, OU Nightly.

Williams spearheaded the country’s first-ever wall-to-wall severe weather broadcast for a college news broadcast in February 2023 when an E-2 tornado moved 2 miles from the very campus where he and the weather team were broadcasting from. After graduating from college, he launched his career in Oklahoma at KTUL NewsChannel 8.
The central Oklahoma native knew that his passion for the atmosphere and forecasting severe weather would keep him in the plains. He has been absorbed with the atmosphere and how it works to produce severe weather for as long as he can remember.
