Contessa Metcalfe is an American TV personality who is best known for starring on Bravo TV’s Married to Medicine.

Metcalfe grew up in Kansas City being involved in every activity imaginable from debutante to cheerleader to even being crowned as her high school homecoming queen. She studied at Xavier University where she earned her undergraduate degree and for medical school, she attended St. Louis University.

Metcalfe knew she had a calling beyond medicine along with an inner desire to do more and she decided to join the Navy as a flight surgeon while in St. Louis. During her residency at the National Naval Medical Center, Metcalfe as well learned to how to fly planes. Her adventurous personality allowed her to travel the world and while on the road she fell in love and made a decision to settle down with her husband, Scott.

Currently, she focuses on occupational and preventive medicine in addition to owning a medical concierge service called Acute Face MD where she provides VIP services for her patients. Metcalfe as well owns a restaurant in Atlanta and is a real estate entrepreneur. During her free time, Metcalfe enjoys traveling, riding motorcycles, and spending quality time with her family. She lives by the motto, “Prevention is the key to healthy living.”

Metcalfe is one of the cast members of Bravo TV’s Married to Medicine. The show chronicles the lives of seven women in the Atlanta medical community with four of the women being doctors themselves, while the others are doctors’ wives. The series shows the group as they balance their social circles, careers, and families.

Season 8 was confirmed on January 27, 2021, and Walters, Whitmore, Bush-Harris, Kimes, and Metcalfe will all return. The season will introduce new cast member Anila Sajja.  Anila joins the group as Toya Bush-Harris’ bestie and wife to the ocular surgeon, Dr. Kiran Sajja. However, the mother of two is “not just a doctor’s wife,” according to the above trailer for Season 8 of Married to Medicine; Anila is also a fashion blogger who, as you can see, really knows how to have a good time, too. Unfortunately, it looks like she and Dr. Heavenly Kimes won’t become fast friends as the Married to Medicine newcomer gets to know the rest of the crew.

As Quad Webb renews some friendships and cuts others off completely, other longtime friendships will continue to be tested in season 8. Dr. Simone Whitmore and Dr. Jackie Walters are still trying to get their relationship back on track after their fallout that was first mentioned at the Season 7 reunion.
