Craig Adams Education
Adams joined Vermont’s Lyndon State College after finishing his high school education. He later graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. After graduation, he was inducted into the school`s highest honor society. While in college, he got a part-time job at a fireworks company. I this role, he was trained as a pyrotechnician, earning his license in multiple states that allowed him to set off fireworks displays. He also worked as a pitcher and outfielder on his college baseball team.

He joined the station after working as a broadcast meteorologist at TV stations in the southern and western U.S. for the last 2 decades. He launched his TV career in Portland, Maine, at WGME(CBS6’s sister station). Following his time in Portland, he worked in North Carolina at stations in Greensboro-Winston Salem and Charlotte.
After North Carolina, Adams moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he served the NBC station there for a decade before moving west to the California Central Coast. While on the California Central Coast, he served the NBC affiliate station in the Santa Barbara-San Luis Obispo region. He recently worked in Little Rock, Arkansas, at NBC and FOX before returning north to join CBS6.
Craig holds both the CBM (Certified Broadcast Meteorologist) seal from the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association TV seal. He decided to return to the North because of the chance to snowboard on a regular basis during the wintertime. In the summer, he trades the snowboard for his other two favorite activities, wakeboarding and playing in competitive adult baseball leagues.
