Craig Fouhy Biography

Craig Fouhy is an American three-time Emmy-Award-winning sports director and sports anchor currently working at ABC15 News. He joined ABC15 News in 1998 as a morning news anchor, co-hosting the morning shows Sonoran Living, and hosting the Sunday Night sports show “Sports Sunday”, and the Cardinals show, “Monday Night Live”.

Fouhy is currently working at ABC 15 News where he serves as a morning news anchor, co-host of the morning show Sonoran Living and host of Sunday Night sports show Sports Sunday, and Cardinals show, Monday Night Live. He gives Valley watchers his special coach’s outlook on the world of sports. Fouhy is known for his honesty so he is not afraid to share his stand during his well-liked “Fouhy on Sports” and “In The Ring” segments. He also enjoys broadcasting the youngest and brightest in his “Fouhy’s Small Stars” segments. Actually, Fouhy’s Small Stars is one of the most popular and longest-running segments at ABC15.

Fouhy also hosts a radio show “Fouhy on the Fanatic” on weekdays which airs from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on 1580am The Fanatic and 99.3FM. He spent 18 years coaching college and high school football, both as a head coach and assistant coach. He was the running backs coach and head coach at the University of Montana and North Park College in Chicago respectively. Some of his great football memories are when he took over at North Park College in the mid-80s as the head football coach and ran the “spread no-huddle offense”.

Taking into consideration that is now one of the hottest crimes in high school and college football, it says something about his innovation as a football coach. During his term, he has served as a morning news anchor, co-host of our popular morning show Sonoran Living, host of our Sunday Night sports show “Sports Sunday”, our Cardinals show, “Monday Night Live”, and he has hosted DIY segments for our parent company, E.W. Scripps.

Besides television and coaching, he has also been a play-by-play announcer and color commentator for college football television and radio, also a public-address announcer for some professional, college, and high school sports teams covering the country.

Fouhy attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington where he majored in education and earned minors in political science, history, and coaching. During his leisure time, he likes to spend time with his family. Fouhy and his wife Kimb enjoy being involved with the community.
