Beasley enrolled at the University of South Carolina-Columbia in 2014 where she earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2015. She was also an active member of the Swim Team and Delta Delta Delta. Cynthia then furthered her studies at Piedmont Virginia Community College where she worked at The Forum as a treasurer and writer. After that, Cynthia joined Virginia Commonwealth University in 2016 where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Studies and Mass Communication in 2018.

Prior to joining the station in August 2022, Beasley spent more than two years working at WSET, the ABC13 affiliate in Lynchburg, Virginia. While there, she served as an MMJ and reporter before later accepting a position as an investigative anchor and reporter. She was also in charge of producing, shooting, editing, and delivering newscasts. Cynthia began her career as an intern at WWBT News from September 2017 to December 2017. Later on, she worked as a news content specialist at the same station from March 2018 to August 2018.
Earlier, Beasley worked as a reporter at the Institute for Education in International Media in Jerusalem. She also covered high-profile news including the Temple Mount terror attacks. On top of this, she was also responsible for conducting interviews and traveling to countries such as Palestine and Israel to cover information. Before that, Cynthia served as an editorial intern at Ocean Drive Magazine in Miami from May 2016 to August 2016.
Over the years, Beasley has covered numerous stories that have led to changes in law and policy. Among her favorite stories, include the school story that did not carry the drug overdose antidote. She also reported the Department of Motor Vehicles registration system that made thousands of Virginians suffer. After her report the motor vehicle driver were refunded their money back and the DMV system was changed.
