Dana Winter is an American journalist working for WKRG as News 5’s weekend evening anchor and a multi-media journalist. She joined the station in 2018.

Winter attended the University of Florida. When she finished her studies, she became a graduate and attained in Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. Her strong love for musical theatre made her join Harrison School for the Visual and Performing Arts. During her time at the University of Florida, she worked as an intern at Fox 35.
While there, she broadcasted the FAMU hazing scandal, the NALEO convention, and the George Zimmerman case. Also, she worked as an intern for Real Radio 104.1 on the Monsters in the Morning show. On the show, she assisted in debuting the Monsters in the Morning Interns Podcast. She completed her high school education at Lakeland Senior High School.

Winter works for WKRG as News 5’s weekend evening anchor and a multi-media journalist. She joined the station in 2018. Since joining the station, she has broadcasted big storms such as Hurricane Michael, Hurricane Laura, and Hurricane Sally.
Her career started when she worked in West Texas at KLST News in San Angelo as a weekend anchor in 2014. During her time there, she found her love for Tex-Mex and broadcasted stories such as the Rattlesnake Round-up, flying in the Goodyear Blimp, and safety at the U.S. border.
For nearly two decades, she worked in Texas and decided to embark on a new adventure. She moved to Northwest Arkansas where she worked for KNWA and Fox 24 News in Fayetteville as a morning reporter. Further, she broadcasted breaking news stories, and fun community happenings.
She worked in Arkansas from 2016 to 2018. During her free time, she enjoys watching Bravo, playing video games, and exploring the region. Most of her time is spent with her husband and three dogs.
