Dante Stanton is an American journalist working for WBND as a host of Friday Night Football since August 2023. He joined the station in May 2022 as a digital content editor and was promoted to multimedia journalist in April 2023.

Stanton joined Goshen College in June 2020 when he finished his studies at Concord Community Schools. He is pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting and Journalism minor. While in high school, he ran cross country, worked with the school tech crew, played in multiple groups, and played trumpet for seven years, including four in the marching band. Further, he played in multiple groups.

Stanton began working for Goshen College’s on-campus radio station, 91.1 The Globe in December 2019. In the fall of 2021, he began working as a sports director of radio and television. Since joining The Globe, he has won 20 award nominations for the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System, winning three awards.

In 2023, Stanton won eight awards at the College Media Association Awards. Further, he has won many state awards for video and audio production. He also won three Indiana Broadcasters Association Scholarship Awards. The Broadcast Education Association has also recognized him.

He worked with the Emmy-nominated team that broadcast 2022 the Holiday Blizzard. His favorite moments at the station include highlighting a local child dealing with CASK disorder, broadcasting State Finals Football, and assembling a feature on a veteran who was awarded a wheelchair ramp.

Stanton started his journalism career in 2018 through a sportscasting internship with the Regional Radio Sports Network. There, he ran play-by-play and color commentary coverage and managed video/audio production for streams. In 2019, he broadcasted from Lucas Oil Stadium for the IHSAA State Football Finals as a sideline reporter.
