Darlene Rodriguez is a famous American Emmy Award-winning Journalist working for NBC 4 New York. She is the co-anchor of Today in New York, airing every weekday between 4 am and 7 am. She became the co-anchor of the show in July 2003. Prior to this role, she served as a reporter for the station and then as a co-anchor of Weekend Today in New York. She is a frequent collaborator to the TODAY Show with one of her segments previously nominated for a national GLAAS award. Also, she served as a fill-in newsreader on Weekend TODAY.

Moreover, she traveled to Cuba in 2015 to cover Pope Francis’ visit to the nation. Her on-the-ground reporting from Cuba was nominated later for a New York Emmy. Prior to joining NBC 4 New York, she was a general assignment reporter for WCBS 880 AM for four years. Prior to that, she worked for a year for BronxNet cable television where she covered some of the most compelling stories about the borough’s politics, growth, and renaissance.
